Passes, runs, touchdowns and tackles aren’t the order of the day for a group of Navarre football players inside a kindergarten classroom on a Thursday afternoon.
Nope. It is apples. And players in Cassie Nolan’s room at Holley-Navarre Primary sit at tables to work with enthusiastic students on various activities using the fruit.
One of the groups paints them. Another builds structures out of them, and yet another is busy taste-testing different kinds of apples and marking down on a piece of paper if they like it or not.
