Relocating Santa Rosa County’s Exceptional Student Education (ESE) administrative offices will cost roughly $3.8 million according to documentation presented to the Santa Rosa County School Board Thursday, July 7.
The board voted unanimously to approve the results of the survey which outlined the state of the selected property and the renovations needed to replace building 1 of the Berryhill Administrative Complex.
The current complex houses several administrative offices including the ESE program in building 1 with additional buildings housing several special placement students. Students will continue attending classes in these buildings after the move.
Damage to the current location at 6751 Berryhill Road had gone beyond what the department could easily fix School Board Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services Joey Harrell said.
