Ducks, turtles on the move from Navarre Park

As demolition and construction continue in Navarre Park, a few concerned citizens asked about the wildlife getting evicted due to this remodel.

Santa Rosa County is taking precautions to safely rehome the turtles and ducks that lived in the pond at Navarre Park for the past several years, according to county officials.

The plan is to fill in the manmade retention pond and build a splash park on top of it in the upcoming phases of the park remodel.

Santa Rosa County Public Information Officer Brandi Bates said the Muscovy ducks have already been relocated.
