One Blood will be taking blood donations during the celebration.
“Our last One Blood drive had such a good turnout they are bringing two buses this time,” said franchise owner Wendy Williams.
Each donor will get a $10 eGift card, a tie-dyed T-shirt and a free sandwich. There will be live music, pet adoption and a bouncy house. The Krewe of Airship Pirates (KAP) is bringing their float with the cannon. Also, The Gulf Breeze Zoo is bringing some ambassador animals to visit with the children.
The party will be April 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., so mark your calendars.
Williams and her hard-working team serve delicious Texas-style, slow-cooked barbecue at Dickey’s in Tiger Point, located in the plaza in front of Publix.
Giant Bakers are a big hit on the menu. These baked potatoes weigh in at a whopping pound and a half and are served with butter, cheddar cheese, sour cream, chives, bacon and your choice of smoked meat.
“We’re bringing in the legit Texas-style barbecue,” managing partner Karen Edwards said.
Savory smoked tacos are another favorite. There are five different flavors including pork, brisket and chicken, and each taco is only $2.75.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays, come on in with your child 12 and younger and let them enjoy a kid’s meal on the house, offered with a $10 purchase per adult.
Free ice cream is served with every meal. After your meal, make sure to cleanse your palette at the free ice cream station located in the corner of the store.

“Wedding season is coming and we’re really looking forward to doing a lot of catering for the wedding season,” Williams said. “Catering is one of my favorite things to do.”
