Dickey’s Barbecue brings back Brisket Chili

As Dickey’s Barbecue Pit celebrates its 80th anniversary this September, the Texas-style barbecue restaurant is heating up with new menu additions for the fall.

Nationwide, Dickey’s will be bringing back their delicious Brisket Chili with spicy jalapeno beans.

Dickey’s is also bringing their savory Brunswick Stew back, made with slow smoked brisket and pork and mixed vegetables, cooked with authentic barbecue flavor.

Owner Wendy Williams and her hard-working team serves delicious Texas-style, slow cooked barbecue at Dickey’s in Tiger Point, located in the plaza in front of Publix.

The Texas-style restaurant is very excited about their savory smoked tacos. There are five different flavors including pork, brisket and chicken, and each taco is only $2.75.

The Brisket Chili with spicy jalapeno beans is served in various forms such as Brisket Chili Frito Pie Stack and Brisket Chili Bakers. Bakers are what Dickey’s calls their 1- to 2-pound baked potatoes, which are served with many different flavors.

“We’re bringing in the legit Texas-style barbecue,” managing partner Karen Edwards said.

The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday children 12 and younger eat free. Come on in with your child and let them enjoy a kid’s meal on the house, offered every Sunday with a $10 purchase per adult.

Free ice cream is served with every meal. After your meal, make sure to cleanse your palette with the free ice cream station located in the corner of the store.

Dickey’s in Tiger Point is hiring for all positions and all shifts. They are looking for reliable and hard-working individuals to join their fun barbecue team. Anyone interested can apply online or pick up an application at the restaurant.

The Quarterly Blood Drive at Dickey’s is coming up Sept. 25. The OneBlood bus will be in the parking lot. Donors will receive a free T-shirt, a pair of socks and a pulled pork sandwich. There will also be a pet adoption with Road

Dogg Rescue, a bouncy house and a DJ at parking lot party.\

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so Dickey’s will be bringing back their pink cups. These cups will be similar to their Big Yellow Cups, which customers can bring back in and get $1 refills. Refills while in the restaurant are free.

Dickey’s big focus is catering. The slow-smoked style barbecue restaurant offers catering for any type of event you may throw, whether it’s a corporate party, a backyard family cookout or even a wedding.
“Catering is one of my favorite things to do,” Williams said.

The restaurant also offers self-contained box lunches for large groups. Call 850-792-7777 to schedule Dickey’s Barbecue to cater your next event.
