Chamber closes on new home

The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce signed closing documents on purchase of a new permanent home Friday.

The new office building is located at 1804 Prado Street in the heart of Navarre. The Chamber’s new location, totaling approximately 3,000 square feet with about 50 parking spaces, was previously occupied by the Navarre Beach Agency.

Chamber of Commerce board chair Gail Acosta signs off on purchase of offices on Prado Street.

Chamber board chair Gail Acosta said she was excited about the closing.

“While we have been extremely fortunate and grateful to utilize the offices in the Fountain Professional Center, we felt it was time to explore a larger more centrally located office,” she said in an announcement. “The new office location will include a large, flexible educational and social space, including a ‘co-workspace’ allowing for casual and remote office space for concentrating or collaborating. The new office building will also include office space for the Florida (Small Business Development Center) at UWF and the Chamber Foundation.”

The building purchase comes on the heals of announced donations of $55,000 toward an ongoing capital campaign for the chamber.

Executive Director Chanda Ryan will be moving the chamber’s training, networking and professional development efforts to the new building soon. The building includes additional space for that work.

“We are thrilled to be able to transition into office space with a variety of working and collaborative spaces throughout the building that will range from private to semi-private and will bring real value to our small business community and local startups,” Ryan said. “We will provide our members with space to collaborate, connect and grow their business.

The chamber’s phone number and contact emails will not change as a result of the move, Ryan noted. An open house will be planned soon to allow chamber members and the public to see the new offices.

Ryan said they are preparing for the transition.

“We are hoping the move will be a seamless process with a possible closure of one or two days and will keep you updated as we move forward as to what those dates may be,” she said.

The Chamber asks that everyone consider donating funds to support the Chamber’s capital campaign for the building and maintenance. Donations and sponsorships to the 501c3 Chamber Foundation are tax deductible and a variety of sponsorship packages are available to ensure your partnership is celebrated.Chamber
