After ranking in the bottom three of state universities, the University of West Florida (UWF) has been named the third best performing university in the state based on rankings by the Florida Board of Governors and state-directed measurement.
With that position comes roughly $20 million in additional performance-based funding. The measurement is based on a handful of metrics including graduation rates and student retention.
