Dave Robau lives in Gulf Breeze, so he offered up Santa Rosa County sites as an option when his company was contracted to help find a suitable location for a $400 million waste-to-energy gasification plant. He lured officials with ALFA Group, LLC to the county last week to scout potential sites for the project, which could bring 1,700-plus temporary and about 100 permanent jobs.
Robau is CEO of National Energy USA, an energy consulting firm based in Gulf Breeze. He also serves as an appointee to the Santa Rosa County RESTORE Council, which will recommend how the county spends monies resulting from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
