A total of 32 Navarre High School students walked away with jobs after participating in the school’s job fair Tuesday.
“I was so excited to hear that many students got job offers, said John Mirra, event organizer. “Usually you don’t get a job offer until after an interview process, but I think the vendors were pretty impressed with the students they met.”
Nearly 30 vendors including Walgreens, Publix, Lowes and Wal-Mart were at the job fair meeting with students and taking resumes. Juniors Chris Bates and Ryan Schmitt were at the job fair looking for summer positions and said that were pleasantly surprised when they were hired to start at East Bay Crab House in just a few days.
