National Traffic Safety Board pushes for partial autonomy in vehicles

Public opinion of fully self-driving cars, known as autonomous vehicles, is varied, but the National Traffic Safety Board (NTSB) would like to put at least partial autonomy in all new vehicles on the road.

The NTSB released its 2017-2018 Most Wanted List of safety features in transportation and topping the list was requiring collision avoidance technologies in all new vehicles, especially Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEBs).
