Little Caesars in Navarre has only been open for three months, but business is already booming for the veteran-owned franchise.
“Business has been incredible,” owner Brian Wood said. “We experienced immediate growing pains, had to double the anticipated staff to what is now 27 employees, double and then triple the food orders so we wouldn’t run out and had to install additional equipment to handle the volume. But it is the overwhelming support from Navarre residents that has been truly a welcome blessing.”
Wood and his wife always had a vision of opening their own store in Navarre. It was a matter of finding the right time and the right brand to do it with.
“In 2017, after our two children, Allyson and Colin, were older, the timing was perfect for us, so we decided to start searching for a food franchise that would fit the current commercial landscape,” Wood said. “Many different franchises were considered, but Little Caesars, with their veterans program, offered us the best investment and fit for the building we had purchased.”
Wood said the secret to the success is having convenience and efficiency in place for your customers.
“I think our customers appreciate that. They know they can get a fresh, hot meal for $5 and get in and out in less than 30 seconds usually,” he said.
Little Caesars has recently introduced a game changer in the pizza industry called the Pizza Portal, a self-service mobile pizza pickup station that allows customers to completely skip the counter. Customers order via a phone app. Then, either scan their phone or enter a 3-digit code at the portal to pick up their order.
Little Caesars in Navarre has big plans for supporting the local community in the future including participating in the Community Christmas Parade and supporting local clubs in the area through fundraising efforts.
“Being Navarre residents ourselves we want to be active in the community and participate in as many events as we can for 2020,” Wood said.
He also takes pride in employing local students from the high school, teaching them valuable lessons at their first job.
Wood said his top priority is his customers, and he knows the regulars by name.
“We all know them by their first names and their favorite pizzas, and their repeat business tells us we’re doing something right,” he said.
