John Gean cooling and heating is a small HVAC business born out of a desire to bring value and savings to the people of Santa Rosa County. Gean brings 28 years of experience to the air conditioning industry.
He began his career as an electrician in the United States Navy where he learned not only a valuable trade but also about the value of a strong work ethic and people skills that have served him well throughout his career. He learned the importance of responsibility, respect, accountability, integrity, honesty, teamwork, pride and professionalism, and the never-ending desire to get it right the first time. Looking back on it now, Gean realizes how much the Navy molded him into the person he is today.
After serving in the Navy, Gean settled in Pensacola and worked at an area hospital as an HVAC technician. He worked on everything from from water coolers to 125-ton chilled water systems. The hospital he worked for had values similar to his military experience and he learned a few new values such as compassion, reverence, generosity of spirit and creativity.
By the age of 27, Gean became licensed in Escambia County and enjoyed working as a contractor in the HVAC industry for 24 years.
Now he finds himself jockeying for position among others in the HVAC industry in Santa Rosa County. After having to responsibly shut down his business in Escambia County because of an illness in his immediate family, he is ready for his new opportunity in the HVAC business.
He takes pride in his work and enjoys helping others. When he rolls up to a customer’s house, the customer can be assured he or she will be dealing with a professional who stands behind his work, honors all warranty issues and is courteous and respectful to everyone.
Gean especially wants to reach out to those who may have bought a unit several years ago and the warranty is now up and there are issues with a coil or compressor. Before calling up someone and potentially deal with excessive labor and material rates, give Gean a call as his rates are great. Gean will never tell you a unit is not worth repairing just to make a sale. He carries fan motors, contactors, relays for older units and will happily repair your unit for a fair price.
Gean’s company primarily focuses on repairs but does offer Goodman and Rheem as choices for equipment replacements. As mentioned above, he stands behind his work will make sure customer’s get a 10-year limited warranty on the equipment they purchase.
And if customer’s purchase a new A/C unit, remember that not all manufacturers give a five-year limited warranty out of the box. It’s important to register your unit with the manufacturer to get the 10-year limited warranty.
