It’s never a good time to have a septic problem at the house. But dealing with the stinky situation could be especially worse on the weekend when most repair businesses are closed.
That is why Arnett Septic is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
“When you have sewage coming up in your tub you do not want to wait until Monday,” said owner William Arnett.
William and his wife Marlene founded Arnett Septic 19 years ago and tackle septic emergencies across the Panhandle in Escambia, Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa counties. They don’t charge clients fees for same-day service or night and weekend house calls.
That quick response is why Robin Bennett relies on Arnett Septic multiple times a month. As owner and broker with Southern Shores Realty, Inc. in Navarre, Bennett manages properties. If a tenant at one of her 75 properties has a septic problem, she said, it’s important the problem is fixed as soon as possible. Bennett’s clients are landlords and tenants and the performance of vendors reflects upon her business.
“It’s the domino effect,” Bennett said. “I need to take care of my customers so it’s important to have vendors who are just as responsive as we are.”
Last week, a tenant called Bennett after office hours about a holding septic tank that was overflowing. Arnett Septic fixed the tank immediately the following morning.
“It makes the owners and tenants comfortable that something is being done,” Bennett said. “If it’s not operational they can’t live inside the home.”
Bennett also chooses Arnett Septic because it’s a “one-stop-shop” and Arnett can fix other maintenance issues while at the site.
Some of the services Arnett Septic provides include drainfield installation and repair, hydro-jetting, back-hoe work, restaurant grease traps, water heaters, sewer line rodding, high and low pressure water, inspection and cleaning.
New to his list of services is plumbing. “I’ve had my plumbing license for a long time and I thought it was time to put it to good use,” said Arnett of the expanded service. The company will continue to provide the same great septic service and customers can now call on them for their plumbing needs.
The company responds to about 20 calls throughout the Panhandle each day and works at both residential and commercial locations. To avoid basic septic problems he encourages clients to limit the amount of water used at one time and to decrease the amount of grease that is dumped down the kitchen sink
Most of the employees have been with the company for 15 years.
“Everybody here is experienced and knows what they’re doing,” Arnett said.
“We’re a quality brand septic tank service that offers very competitive prices and quick service and we like to establish a good working rapport,” Arnett said. “We plan on being here a long time.”
