A pair of newlyweds spent their wedding day in separate blocks of Santa Rosa County Jail Sunday after breaking into an abandoned school in Milton.
Zachary Fuit, 26, and Abigail Carlson, 21, went to the closed Munson school buildings at 11550 Munson Highway after their wedding ceremony earlier in the day. They were joined in the alleged trespassing by Stephen Pepik, 24, Victor Peres, 21, Zachary Barr, 21, and Colton Patterson, 21.
The five men were all members of the U.S. Marine Corp according to Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. Carlson is a surgical technician for Santa Rosa Medical Center.
According to an arrest report, a complainant called the sheriff’s office after hearing people on the property.
The six individuals allegedly pried the plywood board off a broken window to make entry to the building. They also took electrical breakers from the property.
When the individuals spotted the complainant, they allegedly ran from the scene and fled in two separate vehicles. The cars were later pulled over by deputies and the suspects identified. Deputies found an electrical breaker taken from the school in Fuit’s car according to arrest reports.
All six were arrested and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail where they were booked in and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft.
They have all been released from jail.
