Eddie Brown pulls up for a 3-pointer as the second half gets underway against Pine Forest last Tuesday night in Pensacola.
The shot by the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy star swishes through the net and cuts the Stingrays’ deficit to two points.
The remainder of the half is a tightly contested battle against the Eagles, but Lighthouse struggles down the stretch and is forced to digest a 75-67 defeat.
Brown ends up with 20 points, which isn’t bad at all for most players, but not quite where Brown expects himself to be night in and night out as one of the top 10 scoring threats in the nation.
“You just have to go to the film room and get better the next game,” Brown said.
Brown is always striving to improve. It’s what has made him into a star who is drawing attention from several schools, including Central State, Ball State, Florida State and Texas A&M.
His head coach, Morris Jones, has witnessed the growth of his star player firsthand.
