Two of my favorite athletes didn’t come into the pro ranks with a ton of hype. They were doubted from the get-go and neither one was drafted. They were stars at their respective colleges, though those aren’t the schools ESPN and other sports networks are drooling all over.
Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors went to Wichita State. Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson played at Illinois State.
Oh, you’ve never heard of either of those schools, or that VanVleet and Robinson played for mid-major programs?
