What she wishes you knew about breast cancer
- “I wish I knew that it didn’t matter that no one in my family had breast cancer. I thought I would never get it because no one in my family had it. So, I never did self-checks. I did get my mammogram. If I had done self-checks, I would not have been Stage 3 (when it was discovered).”
- “Without the support of my family and friends, I really don’t think I could have made it all three times.”
