The Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced Thursday they have postponed their 11 home games in April.
The entire first month of the season won’t be played either. Because the Major League Baseball season is on hold, the Minor League season is as well.
The pause button has been hit on the baseball season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Florida has a stay-at-home order in place through the end of April.
Fans holding tickets for games in April at Blue Wahoos Stadium can exchange them for another home game later this season. Tickets are subject to availability.
Anyone with questions can reach out to the Blue Wahoos via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Blue Wahoos finished 76-63 last season and made the Southern League playoffs for the fifth consecutive year. The Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins was set to begin its ninth season in Pensacola April 8 at home game the Tennessee Smokies.
