Tourism on Navarre Beach hit its stride in July, finally raking in the bed tax revenues common before COVID-19 forced closures for roughly four months. August was looking fair as well.
Navarre Properties representative Petra Francis said September was shaping up to be a highly profitable month. Then Hurricane Sally came.
That left 75% of the units Francis manages at The Inn at Summerwinds damp from wind and rain. Francis said they had to cancel all rentals last weekend, and though they are holding out hope for the coming weeks, a lot of revenue has already been lost.
