Battle over garbage services may move to courts

Despite citizen opposition, Santa Rosa County Commissioners extended WastePro’s waste hauling monopoly to cover the north end of Santa Rosa County, effective Jan. 1.

Now, the waste hauler is having to defend their new turf in court.

WastePro filed suit against Adam’s Sanitation of Okaloosa County Nov. 3, alleging the company is lying to customers to steal their business.

Adam’s has been running a successful campaign to get residents to sign up for their waste hauling services instead of WastePro, despite not having a permit to operate in Santa Rosa.
