Battle for Florida brought back to life in Bagdad

In the late years of the American Revolution, the British military had their hands full with an all-out war against the colonists.

Along the Gulf Coast, Spain saw an opportunity.

Louisiana’s Spanish governor of the time, Bernardo De Galvez, gathered together his forces to take advantage of the fighting between Britain and the American revolutionaries. He left destruction of British control of Florida in his wake.
