Cross-country teams from Escambia and Santa Rosa County hit the Osceola Golf Course Thursday in Pensacola for the EscaRosa meet.
For the Navarre Raiders, Brody Bruce had the best day, running a career-best time of 17:24 as he placed fifth overall.

Fresh off a bye week and riding the high of a three-game win streak, the Raiders host Mosley for homecoming Friday night at Bennett C Russell Stadium. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Navarre had a strong showing at the Panama City Beach Invitational last Saturday. The swim meet featured 18 schools.
For the Navarre Raider girls, Alina Schorzman finished in the top 10 in the 100 Backstroke, taking ninth in a time of 1:12.88.

The FHSAA is currently looking over the amateurism policy in its handbook before deciding if the state moves closer to becoming the 35th in the nation to add NIL for its high school athletes.
