Easter egg hunts and festivities

Easter egg hunts and family friendly activities will be going on in Navarre and surrounding areas this weekend and next weekend. Listed below are some of the events taking place.

 

April  8

Community Spring Fling

Families First Network hosts a community spring fling on April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Children Services Building, 1221 W. Lakeview Ave., Pensacola. There will be an Easter egg hunt, crafts, games, food and more. The Easter egg hunt schedule is as follows:

Noon-12:15 p.m. Walking to 3-year-olds

12:15-12:45 p.m. 4 to 7-year-olds

12:45-1:15 p.m. 8 to 10-year-olds

Bellingrath Gardens Easter event

Hop on down to the Bellingrath Gardens and join them for some “eggstra” special Easter fun. There will be special hunts for different age groups as well as prizes, candy and “eggtivities,” which makes this a perfect family outing. Admission is free for members. Regular Gardens admission of $13 for adults and $7.50 for children ages 5-12 will be charged. Children ages 4 and under are admitted free. Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Roger Scott Athletic Complex. The fun takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The egg hunt times are as follows:
10:30 a.m.       Stroller – 2 year olds
11:00 a.m.       3 – 4 year olds
11:30 a.m.       5 – 7 year olds
12:00 p.m.       8 – 10 year olds
12:20 p.m.       11 – 12 year olds

Awesome Easter: for the Special Needs Community

The City of Fort Walton Beach’s Firefighters and Silver Sands School invite our special needs community to come out for a free morning of springtime fun. Play games to win Easter eggs (both candy and toy-filled available to accommodate dietary restrictions) and enjoy complimentary refreshments, activities, and Easter surprises, located at Silver Sands School: 349 Holmes Boulevard NW in Fort Walton Beach from 10 a.m. to noon. In the event of rain, the event will be moved from the outdoor field to inside the school building. Spring Fling

The Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church invites you to join them for their Spring Fling event. There will be bouncies, face-painting, kid’s crafts, refreshments, games and more at Sunset Kids Park on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 850-932-3594.

April 13

Easter Egg Glow Hunt

The festivities kick off at the Fort Walton Landing on Brooks Street at 6 p.m., complete with a special appearance by the Easter Bunny himself. Then the hunt begins at 7 p.m., with separate age divisions for children ages 1 to 4, 5 to 8, and 9 to 12 years of age. This free event is open to the public. April 14

Egg Hunt

The Ebonwood Homeowners Association will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at The Ebonwood Community Center, 3511 West Scott St.  The Easter Egg Hunt will Start at noon and end at 3 p.m.   For more information, call 850-426-1156.

April 15

Spring Carnival

The Navarre First Assembly of God hosts this free community event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a bounce house, family activities, food and more. Navarre First Assembly is located at 9594 Navarre Parkway. For more information, call 850-939-3333.

Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Fun Day

Join the Flora-Bama Lounge for an Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Fun Day. There will be face painting, sweets, and pictures with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call 850-492-0611 or visit www.florabama.com.

 Egga-Wahooza

Egga-Wahooza is a free Easter Egg hunt with 50,000 eggs. Children will be divided into age groups up to 5th grade and sent out at 2 p.m. Registration opens at 1 p.m. Event will be held at the Community Maritime Park in Pensacola. For more information, visit www.bluewahoos.com.

Easter Egg Hunt/Block Party Cookout
One Love will host a community Easter egg hunt at Pensacola State College in Milton, 5988 Highway 90, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be hotdogs, chips, drinks, bounce houses and much more. For more information, visit www.onelovefl.org.

Easter Egg Hunt

St. Paul United Methodist Church is having an Easter egg hunt from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Be sure to bring a basket or bag to collect all the goodies. The church is located at 4901 Gulf Breeze Parkway. For more information, call 850-932-8002.

Eggstravaganza

Hunt for over 5,000 Easter eggs, make crafts, and play in bounce houses from 10 a.m. to noon at the Community Life United Methodist Church. This is a rain or shine event. The church is located at 4115 Soundside Dr., Gulf Breeze. For more information, call 850-916-1660.

 April 16

 Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny will be visiting LuLu’s Destin on Easter Sunday at 2 p.m. Egg Hunt will be divided by age groups for safe fun for all. There will be crafts and Inflatables, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more. For more information, call 850-710-5858 or visit www.lulubuffett.com.

 Egg Hunt

Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 9664 Navarre Parkway, hosts an Easter egg hunt between services from 9:30 to 10 a.m. For more information, call 936-1005.

 Easter Egg Hunt

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for middle school and younger youth at 10 a.m. beginning with a craft activity.  Youth interested in joining in this celebration should meet in the Upper Building Youth/Quad Room and youth should bring a basket or other container to put their eggs in.
