More than 40 children completed last week First Baptist Church Navarre’s annual arts camp. Students selected from one of four areas, and then studied it all week. Options included traditional visual arts, cake decorating, learning Spanish or learning to play drums.
“The other students thought the drum students were loud. If they thought they sounded loud from out here, then they should have been inside with them, ” drum instructor Felippe Gonzales joked with parents and friends Aug. 1 during a special end-of-camp program. “Learning to the play the drums is not easy, and these students did a great job,” he said.
