The final nail in the coffin was delivered to Santa Rosa’s only adult day training program for exceptional adults Tuesday morning after a court ruling gave their facilities to the state.
Circuit Judge John F. Simon ruled to allow the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to repossess the now defunct Arc of Santa Rosa’s vehicles and building as repayment for nearly $380,000 in Medicaid repayment and fees owed revealed in a 2015 audit.
The audit revealed that one employee of the ARC of Santa Rosa did not have the proper background check on file before beginning work and another employee had not completed necessary training videos.
