Navarre football standouts Tyson Brown and Royce Thomas are headed to the next level to play football.
Brown signed with Florida Tech Wednesday and Thomas inked a letter of intent with Shorter on national signing day.
Both schools are in the Gulf South Conference, one of the most competitive leagues in NCAA Division II.
“I’m really proud of both of those guys,” Raiders head coach Jay Walls said. “They were both good players here and it’s neat they are going to schools in the same conference.”
Brown and Thomas played key roles in Navarre’s run to its second state semifinal appearance in program history. Brown racked up 53.5 tackles and picked off three passes. Thomas came through with 44.5 tackles and batted down passes in key moments during the playoff run.
