Nearly five years after the dream was initiated of bringing an aerospace engineering facility to Pensacola, ground was broken on the VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering, Inc. at the Pensacola Regional Airport Friday morning.
Hiccups occurred along the way in terms of coordinating the project and coming up with a design for it, but when local business representatives and politicians, including Florida Gov. Rick Scott, raised their shovels full of dirt into the air on a warm October morning, it was a sign the project is indeed moving forward as planned.
