Blue Angels crash probe to take months

The Navy investigation into the fatal crash of a Blue Angels jet on June 2 in Tennessee may last through the rest of the elite flight demonstration team’s 2016 air show season.
“It could take months,” said Lt. Leslie Hubbell, spokeswoman for Naval Air Forces U.S. Pacific Fleet, the California command that oversees the Pensacola-based Blue Angels.
Indeed, the Navy probe of the last Blue Angels fatal accident in April 2007 wasn’t finalized until January 2008.
That’s partly because such investigations involve four-separate commands in San Diego, Corpus Christi, Texas and Norfolk, Va.
