Emily Madril picked up another postseason accolade Wednesday as she was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Soccer for 2016.
The junior Navarre standout was named the 4A Player of the Year in Florida last week for the second time in her career. She received a 102 total points in the Miss Soccer voting, edging 5A Player of the Year Payton Grewal of Oviedo for the honor. Grewal received 98 points.
Madril is the first Navarre player in program history to be named the top player in the state and wrapped up her sensational junior season with 40 goals and 24 assists.
She has 100 points in two seasons with the Raiders, who finished as the district runner-up this season. Navarre ended the year with a 19-4-4 record.
Madril said earlier this week she is already looking forward to her senior season with the Raiders and is also excited about her future as a college soccer player. Madril verbally committed to play at Florida State last spring. The Seminoles were the national champions in 2014 and reached the final four this past season.
