The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for their Annual “Christmas in the Park” to take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in Navarre Park. The event will kick off the holidays for the community.
This year’s event will feature a Holiday Marketplace for shoppers. Vendors who are chamber members can secure a space in the marketplace for $25. Shoppers will have the opportunity to find unique gifts for everyone on their list. And the chamber will also be selling the 2015 Navarre Chamber Christmas ornament for collectors, sponsored by Gulf Power.
In addition to the shoppers’ dream, the annual Navarre Community Christmas Parade will roll out at 2 p.m. at the Navarre Library. The route will carry parade floats south along Presidio Street with a left turn at Esplanade Street, finishing at the parking lot of Centennial Bank off U.S. Highway 98.
Special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will be delivered to Navarre Park by fire truck from the parade and will be available for photos with children. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras for photos at this free event. Christmas in the Park would not be complete without a visit from the Grinch who will also be available for photos. And of course, Mrs. Claus will have her bakery open for free baked goods and hot beverages after the parade.
