OBAMA HHS CHIEF IN ORLANDO TO TALK HEALTH INSURANCE

President Obama’s top health official is back in Florida to discuss the Affordable Care Act. Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell’s visit Tuesday at an Orlando hospital marks several recent stops for her in the Sunshine State, which led enrollment last year among the 36 states relying on the federal exchange with nearly 1 million sign-ups.

LAWYER: SCOTT BROKE LAW WITH PRIVATE EMAILS

Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s disclosure of nearly 200 pages of emails from a private Google account could become key evidence in an ongoing lawsuit that charges that the governor flouted the state’s public records law. A circuit judge Monday agreed to allow let Tallahassee attorney Steven Andrews amend an existing public records lawsuit he is pursuing against Scott to include the new disclosures.

JAMAICAN REGGAE STAR BUJU BANTON SEEKS EARLY PRISON RELEASE

Convicted Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton wants to be released early from a 10-year U.S. prison term under a recent change in federal drug sentencing guidelines. The singer is appealing his 2011 conviction in Tampa on a cocaine distribution conspiracy charge. He is scheduled for release in 2019.

FLORIDA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO KILLING 3 CO-WORKERS

A north Florida man has pleaded guilty to killing three of his co-workers outside a bar in Ocala, and will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole. Andrew Joseph Lobban on Monday entered his pleas in an Ocala courtroom for the June 2013 slayings after reaching a deal with prosecutors, who had been seeking the death penalty.

EX-MUSIC PROMOTER EXTRADITED FROM BRAZIL IN $300M FRAUD CASE

A former music promoter who produced events for top-name acts such as the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Aerosmith has been extradited from Brazil to face U.S. charges in a $300 million fraud case. Prosecutors say 72-year-old Jack Utsick fled to Brazil in 2006 amid investigations by the FBI and Securities and Exchange Commission. After a lengthy court battle, Brazil ordered his extradition in August and he was flown to Miami on Saturday.
