Local park management wants $15 fee to use beach road

Presently there is no fee to drive along Earl Bowden Way, the scenic island corridor between Navarre and Pensacola Beaches. However, local park service employees are proposing a change which would result in a $15 charge to use the sole beach connector road located within Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS).

Additionally, local park staff have suggested replacing the after-hours fishing pass with expanded operating hours – a move they say will help reduce nighttime law enforcement issues.
