A local legislative coalition is pushing purchase of a $1.44 million site in Pea Ridge as the location for a future county courthouse.
Voters will decide between that site and two other parcels during the Nov. 4 general election. Voters will also decide if they want to fund the project using a one-cent sales tax increase for a period of five years.
The other two sites which will also appear on the upcoming ballot are a 15-acre free land offer for East Milton property and acreage behind the current courthouse in downtown Milton.
