Sea turtles, tropical fish, octopus and other marine creatures inhabiting the artificial reef at Navarre Beach Marine Park will soon star in worldwide broadcasts.
The effort to install a livefeed underwater camera in the Gulf of Mexico just cleared another hurdle. Santa Rosa County agreed Aug. 28 to apply for required equipment permitting and allowing utility connection to a pavilion at the county owned park. An antenna will also be attached to the facility. In May, county commissioners also approved a Tourist Development Council recommendation to fund a $125,000 grant for expenses related to the project.
