A Navarre man convicted in 1989 of sexual battery, robbery with a weapon and attempted murder of a UWF student has been sentenced to life in prison for violation of probation.
State Attorney Bill Eddins announced March 20 that 42-year-old Timothy Jordan was sentenced by Judge Linda Nobles.
After his 1989 conviction, Jordan was sentenced to 40 years in prison to be followed by 10 years of probation. He was released in 2007 and was found to have violated his probation in July 2013.
