Navarre Beach will once again be chillin’ out to ring in the new year as the 5th Annual Penguin Plunge is will dive in January 1 at Juana’s Pagodas.
Organizers are expecting the best year yet, as Kim Henderson said that participation is expected to double this year. A new twist for this year’s event will be a stand-up paddleboard adventure course, which will replace the stand-up paddleboard race from last year. “Not everyone is at the top of their game after New Year’s Eve, so we thought this would be a little more accommodating,” said Henderson.
As always, proceeds from the event will benefit the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast.
More details will be included in a full story on the event in the Dec. 26 issue of the Navarre Press.
