All activities for Santa Rosa County Schools are on as scheduled at the moment. That includes Navarre’s District 1-7A football game against Leon in Tallahassee Friday night.

Joseph Harrell, the assistant superintendent for administrative services for the district, noted in an email to monitor the storm carefully regarding weekend activities.
A tropical or subtropical storm is expected to form later today as the system moves into the Gulf of Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center, there is a 70 percent chance of tropical or subtropical storm cyclone development within the next 48 hours.
NHC notes more reliable models are currently projecting landfall during the Saturday evening to Saturday night time frame between Destin and the Big Bend area of the Panhandle. However, a defined low level center has not yet developed. There still remains considerable uncertainty on the track, timing and intensity.
The Raiders are scheduled to depart for Tallahassee around 11 a.m. Friday for its 7 p.m. EST game against Leon. Leon Athletic Director Mark Feely said an update from his school is likely to be given Friday morning.
