FLORIDA COLLEGE STUDENT INDICTED ON MURDER CHARGES IN FACE-BITING ATTACK
A Martin County grand jury formally charged 19-year-old Austin Harrouff on Tuesday with two murder counts, attempted murder and burglary. Harrouff was initially charged with second-degree murder in the Aug. 15 attack on 59-year-old John Stevens, and his wife, 53-year-old Michelle Mishcon, outside their Tequesta home. The indictment enables prosecutors to seek the death penalty against Harrouff.
CITY OF ORLANDO TO BUY PULSE NIGHTCLUB, TURN IT INTO MEMORIAL
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer told the Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/2eHO6t6 ) on Monday that the city has reached a deal to buy the gay nightclub for $2.25 million. Dyer says the site should probably remain as-is for the next 12 to 18 months, as it has become a gathering place for mourners. He says the city will reach out to the community for advice on how plans for the memorial should proceed.

The employee died early Tuesday, and Universal vice president Tom Schroder says the death had nothing to do with the safety of rides or guests.
FLORIDA DEPUTY PULLS CRYING WOMAN FROM EDGE OF BRIDGE
A Pinellas County Sheriff’s news release says Corp. Howard “Glenn” Finley was driving home from work Monday when he saw a car parked along the bridge over Tampa Bay and a woman sitting on the ledge, her legs dangling over the water. Finley says the woman’s hands covered her face. He parked his vehicle, approached the woman undetected and was able to grab her and pull her away from the edge.
MAN, WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE
A man and a woman were found dead Monday afternoon in Martin County. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Christine Christofek says deputies responded after concerned co-workers went to the home to check on the woman who lived there. They called 911 after looking through a window and seeing the woman lying on a recliner. Deputies say both people appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.
