PROSECUTORS: REVOKE RELEASE OF MOM WHO DROVE KIDS INTO OCEAN
Ebony Wilkerson was found not guilty of child abuse by reason of insanity, and has been receiving mental health treatment at a facility in Lake Wales. The motion filed Tuesday by the State’s Attorney’s office says the request for jail was triggered by an episode at the facility. Beachgoers rescued the family after Wilkerson drove her minivan into the ocean in March 2014.
1-YEAR PROBATION FOR MAN WHO THREW ALLIGATOR INTO RESTAURANT
Twenty-four-year-old Joshua James told the judge Tuesday that he’s sorry he threw the alligator through the window at a Wendy’s last October. He said he found the nearly four-foot gator by the side of the road and meant to play a prank on a friend at the restaurant.

U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson wed Dr. Dena Minning on Sunday in Melbourne Beach. She is taking his last name. Minning is running for the Orlando-area congressional seat Grayson holds, as he is running to take the U.S. Senate seat now occupied by Marco Rubio.

Michael Dann was behind shows such as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” ”60 Minutes” and “The Beverly Hillbillies.” His wife Audrey Dann confirmed his death Tuesday. Dann began his career at NBC where he was part of the creation of the “Today” and “Tonight” shows.
LAWYER: SIGFREDO GARCIA DID NOT KILL FLORIDA STATE LAW PROFESSOR
Garcia was arrested last week by police in Broward County in connection to the death of Daniel Markel. Markel was shot in the head inside his garage during the middle of the day in July 2014. Markel, who was well-known in national and international legal circles, died later from the wound.
