Charles Kinsey told reporters Thursday outside a South Florida hospital that Arnaldo Rios jumped from his bed and hugged him. The 27-year-old Rios is recovering from emotional trauma he suffered when Kinsey was shot in the leg by a North Miami police officer last week while lying next to him.
MAN WANTED IN FLORIDA FOR 1977 KILLING ARRESTED IN NC
The FBI in Jacksonville said in a news release Thursday that agents had recently developed information that 67-year-old William Claybourne Taylor was living in Reidsville under a false name. The release says he was taken into custody Thursday without incident and is being held in a detention center in Guilford County.
POLICE: BOY SMOTHERED BABY TO STOP THE INFANT’S CRYING
West Palm Beach police spokeswoman Det. Lori Colombino said in a statement the boy was arrested Wednesday and charged with manslaughter. The statement says police and paramedics found the baby unresponsive at a home last Dec. 2. The baby was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
SECOND DISPENSING ORGANIZATION AUTHORIZED IN FLORIDA
Florida’s Department of Health on Wednesday notified Surterra Therapeutics that it has been approved for processing and dispensing low-THC cannabis. Surterra is the dispensing partner for the Homestead-based Alpha Foliage, which was granted the license for the Southwest Florida region.
3 DEAD IN TARGETED SLAYINGS IN ORLANDO
Police spokeswoman Michelle Guido says three men were killed late Wednesday. Police officers arriving in the neighborhood south of downtown after receiving a call of shots fired found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound. One man was lying in the street. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Two other men were found inside a home.
