JUDGE SAYS CREAMERY’S ALL-NATURAL SKIM MILK ISN’T SKIM MILK
The Ocheesee Creamery sued the state after it issued an order to call its product “imitation skim milk” because it doesn’t add vitamins after cream is removed from whole milk. A federal Judge ruled in favor of the Department of Agriculture on Wednesday, saying the creamery can’t call it skim milk.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri says the driver apparently missed a sharp turn near a cemetery and went into the water near St. Petersburg early Thursday. Investigators have identified the girls as 15-year-old Laniya Miller, 15-year-old Ashaunti Butler and 16-year-old Dominique Battle. It wasn’t immediately clear who was driving.

Seminole County Judge Jerri Collins and the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission reached a plea agreement of a public reprimand for her actions after charges were formally made Wednesday with the Florida Supreme Court.
FLORIDA COURT NARROWLY APPROVES SOLAR AMENDMENT FOR BALLOT
The Florida Supreme Court narrowly ruled Thursday that a constitutional amendment dealing with solar power can appear on November’s ballot. The court split 4-3 over whether the proposal would mislead voters.
The proposal would allow homeowners the right to install solar panels. It also would allow local and state governments to continue regulating the use of solar power.
MAN, WOMAN FOUND DEAD AFTER POLICE STANDOFF
St. Petersburg police are telling local media outlets that 37-year-old Michael Brown killed himself early Thursday morning as a SWAT team was deployed around his house. Police also found 34-year-old Christal Anderson inside the home, but it wasn’t immediately clear when she died.
