A Duval County judge sentenced 36-year-old Virginia Denise Wyche on Tuesday. A jury rejected her self-defense claims and found her guilty in July of second-degree murder of the unborn child and second-degree attempted murder.

Police Chief Mike Chitwood says Micah Parham was shot six times last Thursday by roommate York Bodden. Bodden also fatally shot 21-year-old Timesha “Lisa” Carswell and 19-year-old Diona McDonald. All three victims were students at nearby Bethune-Cookman University.
