The Lady Raiders softball squad combined great pitching from freshman Hanna Stapleton and a sensational offensive and defensive performance by Shana Pearl to win a tight 4 – 3 game at Leon High School in the regional quarterfinal game April 24.

The play of the game occurred in the sixth inning with the Raiders leading 4 – 2.The Lady Lions loaded the bases with two out. The next batter hit a long drive to right center field. With all three runners going at the crack of the bat, it looked as though the hit would easily clear the bases. However, Pearl had other ideas.
