State officials release school grades

Florida High Schools posted their best school grades ever, thanks to a new system designed to judge schools on more than just standardized test grades, a report released Tuesday by the Florida Department of Education said.

However, the system has some schools missing the mark, while others made better-than-average gains.

The Navarre High School football team embarked on the first leg of a momentous journey today, headed for the regional championship game in Tallahassee to battle the Lincoln High School Trojans. The game starts at 6:30 central time, at Gene Cox stadium in Tallahassee. All the action will be broadcast on PSB live, and at several local venues, like Johnny Huston's on Navarre Parkway.
