Pine Forest ends Raiders' season
PACE -- Top-seeded Pine Forest ended Navarre's season Friday with a 66-39 win in the semifinals of the Florida High School Athletics Association District 1-6Agirls' basketball tournament.
Freshman Nadia Fingall led the Raiders with 17 points, 12 blocked shots and 10 rebounds. Teammate Chelsea Jones made four three-pointers to finish with 12 points. Navarre finished the season with an 8-14 record.
Pine Forest, ranked among the state's top teams all season, improved to 21-2 overall and will play second-seeded Pensacola, which beat host Pace 65-46 in the first semifinal, Saturday for the district championship.
