Navarre freshman Nadia Fingall recorded a triple-double and the Lady Raiders played their most complete basketball game of the season Friday in a 59-32 rout of visiting Tate High School.
“That’s without a doubt the best we’ve played,” NHS coach Greg Boozer said after the game. “It’s good to get a game like this, especially after the game at Pensacola (a 61-14 loss) Tuesday. It’s a big boost to the girls’ confidence.”
Fingall, a 6-foot, 2-inch transfer from California in her first year at Navarre, scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked 11 shots to record her first-ever triple-double (reaching double-digit totals in three key statistical categories). She tied the Lady Raiders’ record for blocked shots, accomplished before by Amber Fletcher (NHS Class of 2006) and Demetra Giblin (2008) – Giblin swatted away 11 shots in a game three times.
