Silver Juniors go to Championship

The NYSA Silver Juniors will be the first team from Navarre to go to the championship game this Saturday as they battle with East Pensacola Rattlers at Pensacola High School.

The 9-1 Jr. Raiders' spread attack that has averaged more than 44 points and over 500 yards of offense a game is led by Michael Carter, a running back who has rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 40 touchdowns this season.

Xaiver Fernandez has contributed over 700 yards rushing while leading the defense in tackles. The Raiders also had steady contributions from Mason Green, Tevyn Stevens and Lee Jones in the running game. Their path has been cleared by an exceptional offensive line that is very large and agile (Nick Brahms 6-2 210, Nick Feldner 6-1 205, AJ Neal 5-11 200, Tyler Morton 5-11 200, Hudson Barthes 6 215, Ladonte Jackson 6-3 230).

Seventh-grader Sage Chambers is an exceptional young quarterback for the Raiders that has put up very good numbers through the air totaling 1,702 yards passing and 24 touchdowns and adding over 300 yards rushing to the team’s dominant running game. Chambers’ main target has been Stevens who has caught 15 touchdown passes over the season. Sam Bassham, Fernandez, Jones and Collin Gilmore have also been steady targets for Sage.

The coaching staff consists of the following: Tony Carter (Head Coach), Pete O'Connor (Offensive Line), James Watson (Offensive Coordinator, Backs and Receivers), Keith Brahms (Defensive Line), Daryl Rollison (Defensive Backs), Eduard Morales (Linebackers), Andy White (Defensive line), Brigitte Brahms (Team Mom).
