Kelly Barrett led Navarre to a three-set sweep of Pine Forest in a District 1-6A volleyball match Thursday at NHS with 28 assists and four service aces.
The Lady Raiders improved their overall record to 6-2 and improved to 5-1 in district matches. Navarre outscored the Eagles 25-19, 25-23, 25-18 and successfully rebounded from Tuesday’s loss at Pace.
Allison Freer had 20 digs and six aces, Shamani Booker added seven kills and 11 digs, Kelsey Belmain contributed seven kills, five digs and our aces, and Sarah Betts led the Raiders with eight kills and added five digs and two blocks. Miranda Gagnon chipped in 10 digs and Kiera Foster had four kills.
Navarre will host Pensacola Washington in a district match at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The freshmen teams will play at 4:30 p.m., followed by the junior varsities at 5:30 p.m.
