Brian Howell has been appointed as interim head coach for baseball at Navarre High School. Howell, who is dean of students at NHS, is stepping into the position following a shakeup in the program that began in January.
Principal Brian Noack asked Howell to step in as interim head coach after Justin O’Quinn was relieved of the position for insubordination on April 2.
Howell is in his second year at NHS, but has been an educator for 18 years. His extensive experience with baseball has afforded him the knowledge needed to step in during the turmoil of the current season.
