After a tough loss to Pensacola Washington earlier in the week, the Navarre High School volleyball team decided they had had enough: Enough of the losing.
Their attitude adjustment showed in last Thursday's 3-2 district win over the Pensacola Pine Forest Eagles.
"They (the Raider players) said at practice that they were tired of losing. They were ready to win again," said Coach Kim Gardner.
It showed in the 25-15, 25-15, 18-25, 23-25, and 15-6 thriller over the Lady Eagles. The Raiders started out the gate with a 10-4 first set run, aided by Kelly Barrett's sets and ace serves, as well as service aces by Ashanti Tucker. The lead climbed to 23-12 on kills by Allison Freer and Kyndall Cunningham. The Raiders wrapped up game one, aided by an awesome dig and save by Freer.
